Dr Shahla Meedya is a senior lecture at the university of Wollongong. She leads research projects in primary health care emphasising on women’s and children’s health specifically on breastfeeding, empowering women during childbirth, woman-centred care, midwifery guardianship, healthy lifestyle, and chronic diseases. She also undertakes research on technology based learning and teaching methods and app development. Dr Meedya has particular interests in quantitative studies, mixed method researches and evidence based practice.
