I have extensive experience as a midwife, midwifery educator, leader and manager. My professional contribution to the midwifery profession is highlighted by my past membership of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC), Midwife Accreditation Committee and currently as a member of the ANMAC Strategic Accreditation Advisory Committee (SAAC). I received a National Citation: Carrick Award in 2006 in recognition of my teaching and curriculum development. Since completing my PhD, I have supervised higher degree research students to completion. I have published in journals and textbooks. I have been an Associate Editor with Women and Birth since 2015.
