Stillbirth Series
The last 6 years have seen increased efforts in many countries to address preventable stillbirth. In Australia, advocacy led to a federal government inquiry and a new national action plan. There was been considerable high quality research and action from many groups, including from the Centre of Research Excellence Stillbirth (Stillbirth CRE) whose work is highlighted in the next 6 papers. A key objective of the Stillbirth CRE is to enhance partnerships across Australia to enable high quality research that translates into measurable change. The purpose of this Series is to outline the body of work but also to highlight the value of having a national collaboration between researchers, clinicians, policy makers, parent groups and families to bring about change.
